Our menus are designed in two formats, set menu and mix and match allowing you to select a pre-set menu or, design one of your own using our mix and match.
Our presentation style is buffet giving your guest a wide variety to select from and enjoy a cost- effective . A buffet, also has the option of letting your guest serve themselves or you may decide to have serving staff standing by to distribute food, this too is beneficial ensuring that the buffet is monitored at all times. Guest can also view what is on offer.
A buffet doesn't usually have a strict seating code allowing guest to mingle, and choose whom they wish to sit with for dinner.
Buffet style can be applied to a variety of events being flexible in what is on offer as to how it is presented a practical way to serve guest.
A combination of buffet and food station is also an option open to you. Food stations allow for dishes to be grouped by type ie jerk, carvery, seafood or crepe alleviating congestion giving more movement amongst guest. These can be manned or unmanned.
Canapés an appetiser are great for receptions consisting savory toppings on pastry,bread or cracker can be eaten with fingers bite-size. They can be served on platters Decorative and elegant very colourful a nice way to start any celebration.
Finger food more substantial then canapés but a small light snack. These are served on trays again very inviting for your guest i.e Patties, spring rolls, samosas
Buffet - A self service or main table, station where your guests can be served food or help themselves to a selection of dishes. This is more substantial and will consist of hot and cold dishes and will require cutlery.
Tasters are a great way to sample and experience a selection of what is on offer for to you and your guests. A separate fee is charged at £75.00(non refundable)
We are able to provide you with cutlery and crockery including glasses (tumblers, wine, champagne) However should you prefer disposable these can also be supplied at a cost.
We are able to provide you with waiting/bar/cloakroom staff should you require it at an additional cost
We are able to provide you with the following:- casino tables, magician, should your require it at an additional cost
We only cater for events within the M25.
Black Book Events has public liability insurance and ,relevant health and safety certificates.
We are aware that our clients will require a menu that is best suited to their individual requirements.
